There are ten 4" x 6" Photo Cards in this pack and they will fit perfectly into most standard sized envelopes. All you need to do is personalise them with your own message! They are Jpegs saved at the highest resolution to ensure excellent print quality and look fabulous when printed out on high quality glossy photo paper.

My new grandson arrived on 25th August. He weighed in at 8 lb 15 ozs and he has been named Tom Patrick.

There wasn't a correct guess on his name or weight, but I did a random choice and Phyllis and Andrea each received a voucher to spend in my store.

Amazing photo of our precious baby!

I just had to post this incredible photo of my new grandson (yes, we found out yesterday that the baby is a boy!).

This scan' photo' (from yesterday's scan) is taken at 19 weeks and still in the womb!! I can't stop looking at it and being totally amazed by this technology!

What a miracle this little baby is (see my previous post), and it is especially wonderful because my very best friend,Sandy is also 'expecting' a miracle grand baby from her daughter. So we are very excited together!

Sandy and I have teamed up to make this gorgeous baby kit called SMALL MIRACLES which you can pick up from our Digital Design Den store HERE.

This kit means a lot to us as we both have very close family members who are expecting a little miracle. I can tell you that in my case I'm going to be a grandmother again and this one really is a miracle. After two IVF children my daughter is now expecting a new (very unexpected) baby............about a week before her 43rd birthday! So you can see why this baby is rather special; it won't be here until August though.

Circle Frames templates - new to the store!

I have just released a set of 8 circular frames at my Digital Design Den store.

These frames can be so versatile. Place them over a photo as is, or you can add a colour, gradient, texture or style.........or perhaps clip to your favourite paper. You can also get some great effects by recolouring and then playing with various blend modes...........let your imagination explore the possibilities of these pretty frames! Average size of each frame is approx. 7 - 8 inches.

I've used one of the frames in the layout below. It's my precious old Oliver and the photos were taken lastweek.I guess you can see just how spoilt he is!

New Rainbow Bridge kit released

This week I've released my Rainbow Bridge kit. You can get it at my stores at Digital Design Den or Digi Scraps Drive-in.

The kit is a revamp of an old favourite of mine. It was inspired by the beautiful Rainbow Bridge poem about our dearly loved and departed animal friends. Originally it was two kits and an alpha. I have taken some goodies from both kits (some of which have been changed) and added lots of pretty new items.

I created this kit as a companion to the original Painted Garden kit. This one is not so subtle and features much more vibrant colours and it has a couple of uppercase alphas included.

My blog was looking a bit old and tired, so I've given it a make-over (using a kit that I'll be releasing soon called "Simple Pleasures").

I've been meddling in the fairly unfamiliar (to me) html field in trying to adjust margins etc. so it looks reasonable on both widescreen and standard monitors. I use dual monitors; a standard 17" and a widescreen 20" so I am able to see what it looks like on both of these.

I've reached a bit of a compromise, but I feel it looks far better on the widescreen as more of the dotty background is visible and the rest of it doesn't look so large/out of proportion on the screen. Any widescreen monitor wider than 20" will probably just see a cream stripe on either outer side. It's easy enough to make the white 'middle' narrower, and I can adjust the margins on the posts and date headers etc. to accomodate that but I just can't seem to find where to adjust the widgets so they don't overlap off the white centre............in short I'm sick of looking at it and I've left it how it is for now. Messing around with widgets and html is NOT my field, it's all been a bit hit and miss for me! LOL

If things are overlapping or it looks a bit wierd on your monitor I'd be pleased to get some feedback. Thanks.

I wish all my readers and my friends a very happy and blessed Easter.

I'll be going to our holiday home at Swanwick on the east coast of Tasmania and we will be spending about 10 days there. Our two youngest grandchildren, Sally and Andrew, will be coming (with their parents and Clifford their dog) for the first five or so days. So it will be fun having children around for the Easter egg hunt. I think Easter bunny might have to be a little selective where he plants the eggs though............Clifford would be right into that I think!!

Here's a couple of pages of Swanwick. The sunset one I did for a recent Scrappers Guide challenge (kit by Dana Zarling) ..........scrap your happy place..........and Swanwick certainly is that for me.

Our place is right on the river and their are many pelicans. I can paddle around in my canoe amongst them and get up quite close. I did this pelican page a couple of years back.

I've been at it again!

Yes, I've been at it again. I've designed a new kit.

You can see a sneak preview and read about my plans or lack there of (very vague at the moment I know!) on my Red Dog Digital Designs blog.

This is the first kit that I've designed under my new Red Dog banner.

Red Dog you might ask! Well some of my regular customers will know that I've been privleged to have had the love and companionship of quite a few Irish Setters over many years. It just seemed to me an inspired choice of title because of all what I associate with this beautiful breed which has given me so much joy over such a long time

If you look at the preview you will notice that I have a new logo............the dog on it is my Oliver (and of course he's also on the title banner of the blog).

In 2007 I was a premier designer for Linda Sattgast and since I'm feeling all nostalgic about the beautiful dogs that I've had in the past, I'm posting this layout I did with my old dog William which uses the kit that was featured at Scrappers Guide. I've always had a very soft spot for this layout. The 'first' photo is not good as it was scanned from an old, poor quality photo. If you love dogs, I'm hoping it will touch your heart as it does mine.

Mixed Blessings

It's been a mixed week for me.

My eldest grandchild, Jack, got his driver's licence; no wonder I'm starting to feel old!

My youngest grandchild, Sally, arrived on my doorstep this morning; she couldn't wait to tell me that she had lost her first tooth. She's hanging out for the tooth fairy to come this evening. Fairies and teeth............it wouldn't be a bad idea for a kit would it!

I'm loving my new little red car (that's me in the photo). It's called Lois, in honour of my mother. She left me a small amount of money when she passed away last year and I've used some of it to buy this little 'shopping trolley'. I know that she would be tickled pink that I've named it after her.

On a sad note...............

On Saturday I attended the funeral of my friend's daughter. She had been courageously battling cancer for about 5 years. She was just 46! It's so unfair. She loved all things pink and at the conclusion of the service her nieces and nephews released 46 bright pink balloons.

A busy day!

You might be excused for thinking I'd celebrated Oliver's birthday a little too much when I got out of bed a couple of days ago and this rather large glass of beer was hovering over our house!

But no, seeing is believing..............it's a hot air balloon advertising Carlton Draught Beer!

It was very low over our house and I could hear the flame shutting on and off.

And then later that day my little 'studio' was moved from our old house.

I do watercolour painting (or should I say I did until I got addicted to Photoshop!) and this was a studio that my husband built for me. We moved house about 12 months ago and this has finally followed us.

We have now painted the roof blue to match the roof of our house. It doesn't look much but it's really lovely inside and it's now positioned so that when I paint (if I ever get around to it!) I look over the paddocks and the big pond/dam that is behind our house.

Oliver's 12th birthday

This is my beautiful Irish Setter, Oliver.

We're slightly 'weird' in this family in that we have always celebrated our dogs' birthdays. I think it is a hangover from when the kids were little!

Oliver was 12 yrs on Valentines Day. He gets to have his cake and eat it too...........well some of it anyway! LOL

We get to have a glass of bubbly............strictly for humans!

Kits in memory of my mother

My dear mother passed away in September 2008 aged 93. I made these kits to honour her memory.

I used her favourite colours, soft mavues, pinks, beiges and aquas.

The embroidery was done by her some years ago before she lost most of her sight due to macular degeneration.

I also reproduced some of her favourite jewellery and the "Tassie" exercise book is a handwritten diary that she kept when she was 16 and 17 years old. What a treasure to have!

I have used these kits to set up how this blog looks initially.

No doubt I'll change the look of this blog as time goes on. I quite like the idea of fairly regular change.

New Blog - New Beginnings

I've been a designer at Digital Design Den since its inception nearly two years ago.

Difficult economic times have forced our hand and we will be closing in mid March 09. I already have a blog here which I haven't kept up to date (too busy at the Den!) but you can check out some of my designs that were available.

I hope to continue designing, but in what capacity, I'm not sure at the moment. I'd like to offer some freebies on this site once I get my act together!

It's going to be fun setting up the new blog though. It's all slightly foreign to me at the moment, but I love a challenge.
